Ms. Waddy, whose home had been impacted by Hurricane Harvey in 2017 and had repairs completed by Attack Poverty, but were in need of assistance after the Winter Storm to repair burst pipes, her garage’s ceiling, and drywall. Thanks to the generosity NRG Reliant, the Attack Poverty Disaster Recovery Team was able to assign contractors to repair these two residents’ homes in addition to recommending resources such as food distribution, free counseling, and financial assistance.
