Intern With Us
Engage, Learn, Grow
As a Community Partner, you will daily interact and form relationships with members of the community through both planned activities and spontaneous conversations. We believe SHOWING UP and doing what you promise forms a relationship and fosters trust.
As a Community Partner, you will learn valuable LEADERSHIP SKILLS and gain HANDS-ON WORK EXPERIENCE by PARTICIPATING in staff meetings and SHADOWING a staff member. Additionally, you will go through the video series, Poverty Cure and study the 8 Components of Christian Community Development.
Most importantly, Community Partners will act as “living sacrifices” (Romans 12:1), offering their time, energy and resources to walk alongside an under-resourced community – learning to be leaders through humility and sacrifice. You will be part of a learning organization and participate in ongoing discussions related to poverty alleviation.
To participate in the Community Development Leadership Program, applicants are required to:
- Be between the ages of 18 and 28 years old
- Have earned a high school diploma
- Have a reliable form of transportation in addition to a State Driver’s License and State Mandated Auto-insurance
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
