Uganda Update – Send a Recovery Pack Today!

There is an immediate need in Uganda for basic sanitation and food. With the spread of COVID-19, the country is on lock down. There are no jobs, no public transit and prices have more than tripled in the marketplaces. In some areas, there is even violence on the streets.

But thanks to some generous donors, Friends of Uganda showed up to support 500 families in greatest need right now. Patrick told us, “It’s been such a big blessing during this lockdown.” Here is a video of him on the way to deliver supplies to families in the slums. He is so grateful!

They need these supplies immediately.

Friends of Uganda hopes to serve 1,500 more families with basic sanitation and food. Every $15 donated provides a Recovery Pack to one of these families. Each pack includes:

  • Two bars of soap
  • Half a roll of toilet paper
  • Rice
  • Beans
  • Maize flour
  • Sugar

They need these supplies immediately. Just last week we heard from one of the pastors that a woman named Lillian passed away from starvation. All she needed was food – something most of us have stocked in our pantries all the time. We are praying we can quickly serve these 1,500 families.
