Standing in The Gap with Yakelyn

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all, for all the support that your organization has given to our family, during these days as many of us has been affected by the Covid19. My husband's hours were cut to less than half of what he was making prior to all this "craziness". And I have to stay home with the kids. Friends of Sundown has been such an amazing organization. Thank you for going the extra mile, bringing food to our doorstep and providing us some much-needed financial relief. We were wondering how we were going to make our ends meet. Now we can pay some bills and have a peace of mind. Thank you for being more than just an organization and making us feel like family. It is a great feeling to know that we can count on you. You are such a blessing in our community.Yakelyn, a Sundown area resident

#GiveTogetherNow relies on local non-profits, like Attack Poverty, to have a direct knowledge of the families hurting the most because of lost jobs, working less or caring for loved ones. We identified and nominated 50 families to receive this one-time cash transfer of $500.
