Standing in The Gap With Dwanette

“I just wanted to send an email giving thanks to you, Friends of North Richmond, and #GiveTogetherNow. Genesis 22:13 states, "And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son." This scripture has a lot of meaning and you are the "Ram" that God placed in my family's life. The $500 that my family received really helped me to get caught up on bills and be able to purchase needful items for my children. God says in his word that his children shouldn't have to worry because he will take care of them. Once again my family appreciates everything that you do, and honestly there isn't enough words to describe the gratitude. My family has gained another family outside of our family and that is how much love and gratefulness we have for you all.Dwanette, a You Can Academy parent

#GiveTogetherNow relies on local non-profits, like Attack Poverty, to have a direct knowledge of the families hurting the most because of lost jobs, working less or caring for loved ones. We identified and nominated 50 families to receive this one-time cash transfer of $500.
